Washington is Ignoring the Voters

What do politicians do when things don't go their way?  Witness the democrats in the U.S. House. They just ignore the voters! Pass ObamaCare at all costs!   

First, there were packed townhall meetings last summer when people came out in droves to let Congress know how they felt.  The message was very clear: no ObamaCare.  Nancy Pelosi and Steny Hoyer called the whole thing "Un-American" and proceeded to push the bill through the House.  Then the Senate made special deals with senators from Florida, Louisiana and Nebraska to pass a version on Christmas Eve.

If that wasn't notice enough, then Scott Brown ran unequivocally on the platform of being the no vote on healthcare.  With the help from people all over the country it, he was elected. Massachusetts voters said it was the number one issue in the election.

Apparently, it still isn’t clear enough.  The White House had a “summit” to find a bi-partisan solution. Something they should have done from the beginning.  It was all a show- more than a year ago.  What did we get? Same bill. Same strategy.  

Now we have the “Slaughter Solution” to completely avoid the democratic process – we’ll just pass a rule saying the takeover of one sixth of the American economy is okay. We won’t even have the accountability of a VOTE. The slaughter will come in November when the Democrats lose control of the House.
