6 Month Anniversary of Obamacare

Today marks the six month anniversary of arguably the most intrusive federal legislative initiative to be signed into law since America started.  The buildup of this “healthcare reform” was so highly publicized, that it caused Congress to even be in session on a Sunday – remember that?

Republicans, for the most part, supported a bill that would not bring the federal government between you and your doctor.  However, their input was never really considered – at least not in any of the “backroom” discussions that took place on Capitol Hill earlier this year.

Democrats were able to force down the throats of Americans their 2,400 page piece of legislation with their super majority in Congress.  This was also one of the most impressive bait and switch maneuvers in recent history.  Americans were, and still are, losing their jobs by the thousands every day.  Harry Reid is on the Senate floor saying “Only 36,000 people lost their jobs today…which is really good.”  What an unbelievable choice of words!  Amidst this jobless chaos, Democrats decided it was the perfect time to vote on & pass with minimal Republican support what has famously been labeled “Obamacare.”

There is light at the end of the tunnel.  In recent months, America has woken up and taken notice of the tax-and-spend, government is the answer, liberal agenda that the Democrats are forcing on us, and Americans don’t like it!  Republicans and Democrats alike are turning out in record numbers to support primary candidates that promise to repeal & replace Obamacare, lower taxes to stimulate job creation, and get America back on track. 

I am running for New York’s 29th Congressional district because I want to change directions.  I promise to do everything in my power if elected, to repeal & replace Obamacare, lower taxes for businesses and individuals alike to promote commerce and get America back to work, and ultimately steer America in the right direction towards prosperity again.

Six month anniversary?  It’s more like 40 more days until America hires representatives who will stand up to Pelosi’s liberal agenda and fight to repeal Obamacare.
