PLUMB CAMPAIGN FAILS TO TAKE A POSITION, AGAIN!
Plumb Campaign Fails to Send Representative to Yates County S.C.O.P.E. Debate
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Corning--DC John's campaign failed to take a stance at the Yates County S.C.O.P.E. Debate last Monday October 3, 2016. “Tom Reed has fought for our Second Amendment rights time and time again because he truly cares about our freedoms. Tom will always stand up for our rights,” said Amy Hasenberg, Tom Reed for Congress Spokeswoman. “DC John Plumb's campaign was asked to send someone to the forum and discuss DC John's positions, but they failed to even send a representative. Clearly, DC John Plumb's campaign is continuing their practice of failing to answer voters' questions. This action is typical for a Washington insider like DC John, but it isn't fair to our families."
Last Monday, October 3, Yates County S.C.O.P.E. hosted a debate in Penn Yan, NY. Candidates and their campaign teams were invited months prior to attend in order to debate their positions and answer questions from the audience.Tom Reed attended the event and discussed major issues facing our nation today. Tom also took questions raised by the audience in an open forum. New York State Senator Tom O'Mara and his Democrat challenger, Leslie Danks Burke debated state issues. New York State Assemblyman, Phil Palmesano, and New York State Judge candidate Charlie Schiano were also in attendance.
"This is yet another example of DC John Plumb's campaign failing to be open and honest with voters by refusing to answer their questions. The NRA views DC John as 'hostile' because he refused to answer their question about our constitutionally guaranteed rights," continued Hasenberg. These questions were in writing and he was given time to answer them at his leisure, yet he still refused. Tom received an "A" rating and an endorsement from the NRA.
“We deserve to know the truth about DC John Plumb--this repeated failure of his campaign to answer questions is unfair to our families. This is a tactic DC John likely picked up from Nancy Pelosi, Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama, all mentors and supports of DC John," stated Hasenberg.
