Chemung County Conservative Party Endorses Tom Reed

Tom Reed announced today that the Chemung County Conservative Party has endorsed his candidacy for the vacant 29th Congressional District seat. Chemung County Conservative Party Chairman Lou DeCicco called Reed, “The kind of candidate we have been waiting for who will stand up to the liberal leadership in Washington, DC.”

“Our committee interviewed Tom and we came away impressed by his dedication to reducing the deficit and balancing the budget as well as his belief in a strong national defense,” DeCicco said. “We need more people like Tom who will stand up for limited government and local control. We are poised to do our part to send Tom Reed to Washington.”

Reed noted that the endorsement comes at a key time as the Reed campaign has seen a large spike in media interest, volunteer support and financial support over the last seven days. “I appreciate the Chemung County Conservative Party’s support as we go on with our message of limiting government and drawing the line on borrowing money in the name of future generations,” Reed said.

The Chemung County Conservative Committee becomes the second Conservative organization to officially endorse Reed, following the Monroe County Conservative Committee.
