Republican Committee Endorses Tom Reed

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Chairman of the Olean City Republican Committee Ray Wangelin announced that the city committee, in a special meeting on March 11, 2010, joined Senator Catharine Young, Assemblyman Joe Giglio and Cattaraugus County Chair Paula Snyder in endorsing Thomas Reed of Corning as the Republican candidate for the 29th Congressional District seat. This endorsement covers both the regularly scheduled election on November 2, 2010, and any special election that may be called in the meantime to fill the currently vacant seat.

Chair Ray Wangelin said, “The endorsement was unanimous. Reed and members of his staff have been regular visitors to Olean since Tom Reed announced his candidacy in the summer of 2009.”

“Tom Reed and his staff have sat down with the Republican committee on numerous occasions to discuss issues, answer questions and address committee concerns. The committee has complete confidence in Tom Reed’s integrity and his commitment to the well being and prosperity of New York’s 29th Congressional District,” Chair Wangelin added.
