Fighting for jobs and our future
Reed Named Solar Champion
Recognized for Dedication to Energy Diversity
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Romulus, NY--Tom Reed has been named ‘Solar Champion’ for his dedication to solar energy. “I am honored to receive recognition for our dedication to renewable energies,” said Tom Reed. “I’m proud to be known as the ‘Solar Republican’ in Washington because of our efforts. I care deeply about our families, and energy diversity will help them by lowering energy costs, creating jobs, and ensuring our national security because that’s what is fair.”
Reed was awarded the ‘Solar Champion’ award at the Seneca County Law Enforcement Center by Justin Baca, Vice President of Markets and Research at SEIA (Solar Energy Industries Association). Sheriff W. Tim Luce of Seneca County was also in attendance.
“Support for solar energy is support for American jobs and innovation,” said Tom Kimbis, SEIA’s interim president. “Congressman Reed has demonstrated through his leadership, his public support and his voting record that he recognizes the enormous benefits – from national security to economic development – bestowed on our nation through solar energy. We credit him with recognizing that solar is not a partisan technology, thank him for his support, and proudly present him with this well-deserved award.”
