Fighting for jobs and our future
Reed: Social Security, A Promise Made is a Promise Kept
Visits Eden Heights in Olean
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Olean, NY--Tom Reed is standing up for our communities by ensuring our seniors have the resources they need as he talks with residents of Eden Heights Senior Center in Olean. “I am proud to be here at Eden Heights, which works very hard to take care of our seniors’ needs,” said Reed. “I’m here to talk with our seniors about preserving social security and Medicare because I know how important it is to our families.”
“Social Security is a promise made to this senior generation, and it's a promise the government should keep,” continued Reed. “My mother raised six of us on Social Security and military death benefits after my father died when I was very young. That is why I wanted to be here to discuss what more we can do.”
“I am fighting to protect social security and Medicare, not only for our current seniors, but for future generations as well. This is a goal I know Republicans and Democrats can agree on and I know we can develop bipartisan solutions to achieve this,” stated Reed.
“Eden Heights of Olean Assisted Living and Memory Care is pleased to welcome Tom Reed to our community to meet with our residents and discuss their health care questions and concerns,” said Joni Hewitt, Executive Director of Eden Heights.
